Come and join us in this exclusive (ticket holders only) Meet & Greet Session that we have organised for our City Alive! enthusiasts! Expect
exciting sharing sessions with their signature move.

Session 1 (S1) – Team Japan & Team Philippines
Session 2 (S2) – Team Hong Kong & Team China

Team Japan is representing Beatbox Studio, Tokyo
Team Philippines is representing Philippines Allstar
Team Hong Kong is representing Infinity Dance Studio
Team China is representing Dragon Studio, Shanghai

What do I have to do to be able to have a spot for such an exciting event?
1. Take a photo of yourself with the ticket you have purchased from SISTIC or other sources.

2. Post the photos either on Twitter and tag @CityAlive or post the photos on City Alive! 2011 event page here:

6. Organisers will contact you personally via Twitter or Facebook to let you know whether you have won! So have your faces peeled to both sites to wait for the message!

BeatBox is the epitome of street dance cool in downtown Tokyo. And the studio is a haven of all whom loves street culture and the art of dance. Members of the studio are usually versed in multiple genre of street dance.

Renowned international choreographers hold workshops in collaboration with BeatBox regularly and we also partner with record labels, production houses and audition agents to work on the development of young dancers with a keen interest to discover the entertainment industry through the eyes of street culture.

The Philippine Allstars was started in 2005 by 12 friends who came from different backgrounds, but wanted to collectively represent their country in the World Hip-Hop Championships held in the US. In 2006, Allstars put the Philippines on the map of Hip-hop dance in becoming the first Asian country to win back-to-back World Gold titles in the International Hip-hop Open d’Ítalia in Turin, Italy and in the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships in Los Angeles, California. The next year, the group took Bronze in the same competition and also won Team of the Year from V.Ent’s First Annual Dance Awards. In 2008, they came back strong and took Gold in the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships held in Las Vegas, Nevada. They continue to make noise around the world by besting other teams from other countries in different competitions. Recently in the same year of 2009, they won as 1st Runner-up in the UDO World Street Dancing Championships, Blackpool, UK and once again as champions in the Malta Guiness Street Dance Competition, Kenya Africa.

ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Tri-Crew – Best of Asia is a street dance championship that provides performers with opportunities to showcase the artistry and technique of Street dance, nationally and regionally, with the chance for media exposure and prestigious national and regional championship titles.

Creativity, showmanship and artistic freedom are always rewarded; provided that integrity, good taste and safety are not compromised. Crews showcase their ultimate works of street dance choreography in a four (4) minutes routine.

The Most Captivating street dance routine contains a variety of moves, styles and showmanship. Bringing the best of Asia to dance against you! Are you up for it?

STREET DANCE DEFINED

There is no one definition to describe street dance. Street Dance is a fusion of dance disciplines and cultural interpretations from around the world. A street dance routine incorporates the look, music, attitude, posture and style to make it uniquely “street”. The most real street dance routines showcase a variety of old school and new school moves and choreography conveying the character and energy of the street.

PARTICIPATION RULES

Asia Finals to Tri-Crew is by invitation only. Your crew and/or studio (Non-Singapore) would have received an official invitation to participant. Please discuss further details with our representative if you have been contacted. Alternatively you could write in to us for an invite; but final decision on invitation will be based on organizer’s review and discretion.

Singapore Finals is open to all 3-person dance crew who are Singaporeans or permanent residents in Singapore. Winner of Singapore Finals will qualify to represent Singapore for Asia Finals.

OFFICIAL RULES

Tri-Crew will be conducted under the official rules & guidelines. Please refer to the Rules Manual for more information.
